Step 3: Click on ‘Add New’.
After you click on ‘Media”, you are taken to your WordPress Media Library. This is where you add images.

Step 4: Add your image.

(2) Drop files to upload. Drag and drop the image from your computer to upload it.
I usually choose ‘Select Files’ to upload an image saved to my desktop.

Step 5: Upload the image to your Media Library.

4 Must-Know Tips When Adding Images To Your Blog Posts
For the best user experience, here are 4 tips to keep in mind when adding an image to your blog post.
First, make sure that the image you’re using is relevant to the content of your post.
Irrelevant images can be distracting and can make your post look unprofessional.
Second, make sure that the image you’re using is of good quality.
Blurry or low-quality images can be a turn-off and make your post look unprofessional.
Third, remember to use the search function in the media library to help you find the image you want quickly and easily!
Once you create A LOT of content with A LOT of images, the ‘search function’ becomes your new best friend.
You may also download a plugin to organize your WordPress media files into folders and categories. I highly recommend doing this from the get-go!
I use the free plugin called FileBird Lite to organize all my file images for this blog.
Finally, add alt text to your image.
Alt text is important to add to an image for these reasons:
- Helps search engines understand what the image is about.
- Improves your website’s SEO
- Helps readers who can’t see the image to know what it is.
